Burma Teak & Burma Pyinkado

Teak has been valued for centuries as one of the world’s most durable and stable woods for both out door and indoor use. It is well known for its strength, moderate elasticity and hardness. Teak has a wide range of colors ranging from pale yellow to orange brown with dark striping all of which mellow into medium brown tones. Uses: On account of its durability, strength, moderate weight, ease of working, stability and attractive appearance it is one of the best all-round timbers. It is widely used in Ship building, decking, launches, boats and weather doors. It goes without saying that Teak makes excellent furniture, carving and interior fitting for offices and homes and public buildings. I house constructions it used for making doors, frames, windows, window frames, Staircases, floors, paneling, cupboards and fittings.

Malaysian Merbau:

Merbau is a heavy hardwood significant for its durability which is highly rated and therefore the timber is well suited for exterior joinery and other applications. Merbau also has wood working properties giving smooth machined surface. It takes finishes readily and is also easy to glue. It has very low shrinkage when drying. Merbau is usually yellowish to orange-brown when freshly cut, turning brown or red brown on exposure. This timber can be used for interior paneling, strip and parquet flooring and other decorative uses. It is used for joinery including door and window frames and facades.

African Padouk

Padauk is one of the heaviest, hardest and strongest timber in south East Asia. It is known to be the best all round timber after teak. It is primarily used for its orange-red color with pronounced darkening when fully oxidized. Uses: Padauk is chiefly used for heavy constructions and buildings. It makes decorative flooring and has a high resistance to wear, an excellent parqueting timber. It can also be made into beautiful furniture, carvings decorative cabinets and veneering.

African Teak
